PINEWOOD DERBY 2009
In a stunning announcement, that little dude that beat Bully in the 3rd heat took 1st place.  I
didn't take pictures of the heats that Bully didn't race, but I believe that kid won every heat
he raced.  His average speed was 215.9 M.P.H. and Conner's was 215.6 M.P.H.  Tough loss.
That kid was awarded a computer!  Pictured is the little fella holding the keyboard.  Conner
got some nice trophies, but had to settle for 2nd place.  Worst-to-first in his Pack
competition and then 2nd place in the Mountain District ain't bad though!  Bully made MSU
fans proud!
Here is some of Bully's
competition.  There
were some pretty sharp
looking cars out there.
In fact, there were over
40 cars involved in the
race.

I imagine there were
some daddies who
were a little OVERLY
involved in their son's
car designs.  Conner's
car was mostly built by
himself.  I had to help
with the stuff that
involved power tools,
but he even did a good
bit of that work.
This is a good look at
the track.  Highly
technological stuff
here.  This thing has
some light sensors
that determine the
speed of each car in
their respective lane.
The track is hooked to
a computer which
displays the results
on a screen projected
onto the wall for
everyone to see.
BLING-BLING!!!!
